We are the Service Employees International Union Local 400 PG.  An organization of custodial members united by the belief in the dignity and worth of workers and the services they provide. We are dedicated to improving the lives of workers and their families and creating a more just and humane society.

We are public workers we seek a stronger union to build power for ourselves and to protect the people we serve.

As a leading advocacy organization for working people, it is our responsibility to pursue justice for all.

People of every race, ethnicity, religion, age, physical ability, gender, gender expression and sexual orientation. We are the standard-bearers in the struggle for social and economic justice.

Our vision is of a society, where all workers and families live and work in dignity. Where the collective voice and power of workers and staff is realized in a democratic and progressive union.

Where workers and staff have a meaningful voice in decisions to develop their talent and skills. We must organize public workers; extend to them the gains of unions, while securing control over our industries and labor markets.

We must build coalitions and act in solidarity with other organizations who share our concern for social and economic justice. We believe unions are the means by which working people build power, by which; ordinary people shall accomplish extraordinary things.

We believe unions are necessary for a democratic society to prevail and that unions must participate in the political life of our society.

We believe that working as a team, the Executive Board, Trustees and Staff we can move SEIU Local 400 PG to high places.

We believe we have a special mission to bring this union and its members to dignity and democracy.
